Serve as a mentor. Volunteers in this capacity work with families weekly, guiding the decisions they make, the actions they take. If you have experience in financial matters or have a gift for teaching, becoming a mentor may be the right choice for you. Even if you do not have such a background, we will train you to work directly with our families.
Participate in Fundraising events. We always need help with planning, setting up and running our fundraising events. We have three major events every year. These events are extremely important to the life of our organization, and we are grateful to have your assistance in any capacity.
Donate goods such as food or gas gift cards to FCH or offer pro bono services such as auto repair, financial planning, and health services. Our families often are in need of such goods and services.
Serve on one of our committees. Faith Community Homes has several committees that focus on specific areas of need. Opportunities exist to serve on a committee that plans and executes fund raising events, or one that serves as liaison with community houses of worship, or one that takes care of administrative and housekeeping matters, or one that solicits donations.
Become a member of the FCH board of directors. The FCH board is at the forefront of every action we take, and is composed of dedicated community leaders from various backgrounds.
Share ideas that you may have that helps our families achieve their goals or that helps FCH become more effective.
Please contact Faith Community Homes at 847-342-0846 if any of these opportunities appeals to you.
